I really like the way you tell the story of the past with a more recent story. Enjoyed your post!

I like this reflection on history and growth. I have always been fascinated with our family tree; it makes me feel like I have a history, instead of just living in the eternal present.

Ah! This is just beautiful. I love how the tree makes its way through your family history, accounting for the lost branches, and finally coming to conclusion with your own family. Nicely done.

Beautiful. My family is going through estrangement and the thought of those blank spaces, empty branches that wind their way to growth is a very comforting thought. Thank you for this.

Your story had a beautiful twisting gait to it much like the family tree.

Beautifully done, weaving the two stories, past and present, together.

So well told, Monica. And I love exactly what Linda said in reflection too.
